Art with Heart

Every year, Halle's Dance studio, does a charity performance to benefit Shriner's Hospital. The girls work really hard preparing their dances and selling hearts to help raise money. They are taught the value of serving others. The performance subtitle is, "Kids who dance, so others can walk". This is Halle's third year performing in Art with Heart. She really understands what she is doing and who she is helping. Before the performance she seemed upset and I asked her what was wrong. Expecting her to say she was nervous, I was suprised when she said that she was thinking about the kids who were sick and needed help getting better! The evening is really special and at the end of all the dance numbers, all the performers come out on stage and a man from Shriner's comes out with a child who has received help from Shriner's and is visibly handicap. The man tells the performers how grateful they are and that they are making a difference. I think it has been a great way for Halle to learn how fortunate she is to be able to do some of the things that she does. Halle is wearing her Sailor costume for the first time. The dance is to a song called "We Rock the Boat."
We've both loved having Brynlee dancing this year. (I have loved getting to visit with her sweet Mom a little more often.)

Flowers, of course, are a necessity after each performance. She did a great job and the number was adorable. Way to go Halle!!
