Parker CAN dance!!!

I know this is sideways, but I have tried EVERYTHING to get it turned without any luck. I told my Mom I'd post this so that she could see it. I laugh everytime I watch it. I don't know if it has anything to do with all the time we spend at Halle's dance, but he definitely isn't shy about "getting down"!!!

THE WEDDING!!!!!

The whole reason we went up to Seattle was to see Cindi and Rob get married. We cannot express how excited we were. This day had been a long time in the making and we wouldn't have missed it for the world. My kids even gave up their Christmas presents so that we could all go! Rob and Cindi mean so much to my whole family. Parker and Keaton were having a great time waiting for them to come out to the temple. (Parker misses Keaton so much. He asks every day if she can come play. Too bad she lives all the way in California!!! He just doesn't understand why she can't just come on over!)
The happy couple as they come out of the temple for the first time as husband and wife!

Cindi is passionate about the color orange, so it was only fitting for her to have an orange jacket to wear. It had been pouring all day, but the rain stopped long enough for the photographer to take a few pictures. It was still freezing cold. I was lucky enough to be able to follow them around and hold her coat when she wasn't wearing it and fix her train. I was even able to snap a few pictures!!

The reception was great. They had the cutest guest book. When the guest arrived, they had their picture taken and then once the picture was printed, they would put it in a scrapbook and write a note to Cindi and Rob. This picture is of Rod and I with the Cambodian family my parents sponsored when I was 10. They lived with us for a short while. It was great to see Mindy, Chung, Kaing, and his wife Kitty.

The photo booth had things to dress up in if the guests wanted to have a silly picture taken.

When it was time to cut the cake, Cindi had her friends help her put on an apron and rubber gloves in preparation for the cake war! It was so funny!!

I have to say, they kept it pretty civil!

The first dance!

Parker and Jayden had a great time. Cindi had the kids table set up with toys, and crayons, and balloons. It really was a clever way to keep the little ones entertained.

The Daddy/Daughter dance.

Another Daddy/Daughter dance!

Jayden was being silly and wouldn't let me get a picture of him and his Mom.

Mom and Dad looked so nice!!

The wedding was so beautiful. Cindi did a great job. We love you guys and are sooo happy that you are now married for TIME and ALL ETERNITY!!!!
(Sorry to Sherri and Heidi. For some reason I did not end up with a single picture of either of you!)

Fun at Seattle Center

I know, it is taking me forever to get our trip posted. Baby Steps, Right?! The same day that we went up the Space Needle, we also checked out the Experience Music Project and Pacific Science Center. This is at the EMP. This arrangement of instruments, mostly guitars, went all the way up to the ceiling which was several floors away!
There wasn't much for the little ones to do, so we checked out the booths where they could play guitars...

Drums...

And more drums. Jayden liked the guitar, didn't really care for the keyboard, but loved the drums.

When we realized that there wasn't much for the little kids, we headed over to the Pacific Science Center. Here they are checking out a Space Shuttle. Jayden wasn't too excited about it. At one point it started to rumble, like it was about to take off. He bolted! (There was no way he was heading to Space!!!)

The boys loved the water area! I mean really, what boy wouldn't love that!?!?

The Butterfly House is pretty cool. We had to be really careful not to step on any. They also checked us before we left to make sure there were no butterflies on our clothes. For some reason, Parker and Jayden were ready to get out of there the second we entered!

There were some cool butterflies. Connor took many colorful pictures like this one.

Rolling the balls down this was their favorite thing. We could have done this for hours!

Jayden wasn't too sure about the carousel. As it started to go, he wanted off, but soon realized it wasn't so bad. I think he may have even smiled once!

Of course Halle loved it!
I love the Seattle Center. It is always fun to go there. Of course it is more fun when it isn't pouring down rain, but we made the most of it!!

JuST HaNGiNG ouT

So what do you do when it's dark by 5 pm, and pouring down rain.......
*
Lie on the floor with your cousin and laugh....

Play Guitar Hero.....

Hang out with Grandma and Grandpa....

More Guitar Hero....

Just catch up on each others lives....

Find any way possible to entertain 3-year-olds....

More Guitar Hero.....

Pose for a 6-year-old with a camera....
Make paper airplanes (because a bachelor has absolutely NO toys for little kids).....

Hang out with cousin Keaton...
We were so excited to spend time with Jackie, Jayden, Heidi (why don't I have any pictures of her :@), and Keaton! Thanks Jackie for going to so much trouble so we could see you and Jayden. We love you guys!!

Thoughts of Jimmy

Just thinking of Jimmy today on his Birthday. This was always the day, I knew that I would get to talk to him, and catch up with what was going on in his life. It's hard knowing I won't be making that phone call today. Just wishing I could...

Space Needle

We HAD to go up the Space Needle! The kids love it, and what better place to sight see in Seattle than to see the views from the Space Needle. These are my weak attempts at getting a shot of the actual Space Needle. The kids were annoyed so I didn't try to hard.

My nephew, Jayden, came along with us! As you can see, he doesn't like having his picture taken.
It was such a windy, cold and rainy day! Where is Jayden??!!

A great view, even on a gloomy day!

The boys loved the boats/ferries.

Jayden and Parker were being silly. I was just glad to get Jayden in a shot!

I was suprised at how many people asked us to take pictures for us!

Checking out the view from the telescopes.

Yeah! He actually posed for a cute picture! We were all thrilled to have Jayden along with us. Although he is a little leary of new things, we finally got him to go up the Space Needle elevator. Once we were there, he didn't seem to be bothered by the height at all.
