Friends!!

Every time we go to California, we try to get together with Rod's friend Daren. They were best friends growing up. It is always great to see them.

It is so nice to be able to keep in touch with them. Daren always brings something fun for the kids to do. One year we borrowed his Tandem bike, this year he brought surf boards that the boys loved!!

Carol is always such a good sport. We don't get much time to visit because we are always watching after our kids, but she makes a big effort so Rod and Daren can visit. Halle loved playing with Bryan and Adam.

This year I was excited to actually have a friend in California that I could call. Hillary was so great to load up the kids and all their beach stuff and come play with us on the beach!! Parker was thrilled to see his old pal Wil. He never stops asking to play with Wil. I wonder now if he understands just how far Wil lives from us!?!?Halle and Elle had a great time playing volley ball with the big kids!! The boys didn't want to play in the water, but had a great time playing in this big sand hole someone had dug out for them!!

Elle had to give it a try too! Thanks Hillary for coming to see us! It was great to see you all. We sure miss having you as neighbors!!
