Our sweet little girl has turned 6! It is so hard to believe that time is just speeding by. We had a great day on Saturday celebrating. She invited one friend and we went swimming at the Legacy pool. After that we came home to celebrate with the family. We had pizza cake and ice cream and presents, of course. She got lots of art stuff, a pocket barbie, a boom box (cause she loves to dance all over the house), and a new bike that is her size, FINALLY. So Zoey and Brynnley, come on over when the weather is nice, she's ready to go biking with you!

Yesterday, on her real birthday, we went with her Dad and Grandma to lunch at the Macaroni Grill. I had once told her how they sing to you in Italian on your Birthday. She decided that sounded cool, but when it came right down to it, she was a little embarrassed by all the attention. After a great lunch, it was off to dance, where we spent the rest of the day. Connor was sweet enough to make her another cake, but by the time we were all together last night, we were so tired we didn't even eat it. Oh well, we have something to look forward to today!

I have no pictures of the festivities because my camera broke around Christmas. I do have some of my favorites of Halle to share though. I'd also like to express some of the reasons I am grateful to have her in my family.
****
* First and foremost, she's a GIRL! It could get quite lonely being the only female in a house. I love having her to dress and shop with.
*
* She's a great dancers and learning more all the time. She spends a lot of time at dance, but I love being able to share that with her. I love going to watch her perform and getting her all made up for performances.
*
* She is so smart. She can read so well and also do math, but more than that she is just wise. She has the mind of a teenager and can really reason through so much more than you would think.
*
*She is so helpful and loving. She is always there to help if I need it.
*
*She keeps her room immaculate. (No wait, that last one was a dream I had last night!)
*
* She is fun. She is always dancing or singing or doing yoga. Since the older boys just like TV and video games, she livens the place up a bit. It's fun having her around. I guess I can live vicariously through her, since I am always out of energy!
*
* She's a great artist. She loves to color, draw, and paint. When she had her tonsils out, my walls were covered with things she had colored. Just recently, when she was working on a project, she said she wanted to be a great artist someday, like her Uncle Jimmy was. I thought that was super sweet!
*
* She loves her Heavenly Father and Jesus. She often tells me that I am her best Mother, of course I say, "I am your only Mom" and she always says "What about Heavenly Mother?" I am glad she believes in life beyond this one that involves God.
*
* She's just so darn cute! I mean lets face it, if your going to have one little girl and that is it, she better be a cute one. I think we got the cutest!!

Happy Birthday Halle!!!! I'm glad you had such a fun birthday!
Hi Julie!
I linked to your blog through Tai's. These photos of Halle are adorable...and I love your blog title, so whitty and creative. Mine is just dumb. Your family is really cute, I've never seen some of your boys. Who took your photo of Halle? I want to do family photos and need a good photographer.
Chris thanks you for your support and says "YES it's hard!" I giggle. I think the biggest factor in learning anything new is a good instructor. Our friend Kyle is the best! Especially with kids. He had Madison skiing in 2.5 hours last year. He's AMAZING! You are so active you would get it down in a snap. Wanna swim on Wednesday?
Happy Birthday Halle. They do grow up fast. How did you do that first pic of Halle? I love it!
That first picture of Halle is the cutest thing i've ever seen. Who took that? Soooo cute. I'm glad she had a good B-day. I had to laugh at the comment you left on my blog about the not so cute pic of Halle and her missing teeth. Oh yes we love the no teeth phase, but she is adorable and you know it. She really is a sweet heart and she is welcome over here anytime.
That first picture is award winning! She is so beautiful! I am so glad you have your daughter too. You are right when you say that every mom deserves a daughter. She will be your best friend for life. Happy Birthday Halle!
