Wesley turns 19!

It’s hard to believe my oldest is 19!  Where did the years go?  I am so proud of the good person that Wesley has become.  I am excited for his opportunity to serve a mission.  I know that he will make a great missionary and bless many lives!301We took this great group of kids out to dinner to Wesley’s favorite Thai restaurant.  It was a lot of fun and an easy way to throw a party.

302IIt’s hard to believe that I won’t be able to spend Wesley’s next two birthdays with him. It makes me so sad, but I know that  it will all be worth it in the end.304

Happy Birthday Wesley!  I hope all of your wishes come true for this year and the next!   I love you!!!

Lacrosse Season

So this year was pretty crazy as far as Lacrosse goes.  Connor played on the JV and Varsity teams, Rod coached the Freshman Team and Braden played on a club team.  Braden’s team didn’t have a coach, so Rod ended up coaching Braden’s team too.  Needless to say, it was way too much!  Thankfully, Connor was able to help out with Braden’s team a lot after his surgery!

It is a lot of fun to watch Braden learn more and more about the game each season.  Rod is glad that they have added another Lacrosse junkie to the family!

It sure is fun watching these three practice together.  They even let Halle and Parker join in sometimes!  Our backyard is the neighborhood place to practice lacrosse.  Needless to say, we have way too many lacrosse sticks, lacrosse balls, and certainly too many indentations or holes caused from lacrosse balls!

Wesley is Awarded his EAGLE!!!

So even though Wesley completed his Eagle requirements over a year ago, he was never awarded his Eagle.  Somewhat due to time and definitely due to attitude!  Finally with much insistence from the Scout Committee Chair, we convinced Wes to have a Court of Honor.  249

We are truly so proud of him.  I know that I “encouraged” him through his whole scouting career to get his Eagle, but ultimately, it came down to Wesley and he did it!!292

A big thank you to all those who came to support him.  Thank you also to the Carters.  (If Chandler hadn’t been getting his Eagle, I am not sure we could have ever convinced Wesley to have a Court  of Honor.)289

My three scouts!  Can you tell which one has the attitude here?  I am so thankful to Wes for the example that he has set for his brothers!  Congrats!!

Easter 2012

This Easter was great.  I actually got a few of the traditions done!  The kids had fun coloring hard boiled eggs and hunting Easter eggs.  003

004

005Of Course finding surprises from the Easter Bunny is always fun to do!010Everyone is “Bright-Eyed” and ready to follow the string to find what the Easter Bunny left.012The boys are such good sports and try hard to make the Holiday fun for the little kids.015Halle and Parker love hunting eggs with candy inside.018

019Jeremy and Meg had everyone over for a barbeque and Easter Egg Hunt.  As always, everyone had a great time.  Even the boys had fun!020Thank goodness that my nieces and nephews have kids that are Halle and Parker’s age!  We don’t know what we would do without these cute kids.  They all have such fun together.021

022Easter is such fun!  We are so lucky to have such great family to share it with.

Time to Swim

This Spring Halle and Parker took swimming lessons.  I was hoping to get Halle ready to swim on the swim team this summer.  They both surprised me with how well they can swim.  231294

299Swim team, here she comes!  The swim cap definitely takes some getting used to.  She did a super job at her first meet.  We are so proud of Halle!232Parker loves to swim.  He is just a little fish.  I wonder if it runs in the family?  He passed Level 3 classes and will be moving on to Level 4 in a few weeks!  Way to go!

Kindergarten Graduation 2012

It’s hard to believe that my youngest child has graduated Kindergarten!  It was a day that I used to look forward to, but know I am not so sure.  I hate that my baby is growing up, but I am so happy with the person he is becoming.199

Parker is such a sweet and loving child.  His sensitive side keeps us on our toes.  He likes to make us laugh.  He loves to play non-stop.  He doesn’t like homework much, but he loves school.  We are so proud of you, Parker!  I can’t wait to see how great you are at first grade!

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer

Parker and Halle love to play soccer!  We spent six weeks going to practices and playing games on Saturday mornings.  It was fun to watch how much they have each improved.  Halle’s team has been playing together for three years.  Thanks to her great coaches, the girls have learned so much.  They were a lot of fun to watch.217
