Rod and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary this year on May 2nd! It’s been a great twenty years. I could not have found a better man to marry. He loves me unconditionally, which I am so thankful for. I know that I can be a “little” difficult to live with at times and I am so grateful he puts up with me. He takes such good care of our family and really puts a lot of time into his kids needs. His love for our Heavenly Father is the anchor for our family! He is my best friend and I hate to think of where I might be without him! Rod, I love you!

BIRTHDAYS!!
I know, soooo behind on the blogging! We’ve celebrated a few birthdays that I have missed.
Rod’s birthday was celebrated on the run. Halle had Dance attack that night, so we sang to Rod really quickly that afternoon before I took her up to Salt Lake. For Rod’s birthday I got him tickets to a taping of NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me. The next week Rod and I had a great evening going to the Cheesecake Factory and then to the show.
We celebrated Braden’s Birthday twice with a party the Sunday before with Wes and Sherri’s family. Then on his birthday, we ate out at Tepanyaki. Yum! Our chef was really good and we laughed the whole time.
In March we went to a surprise party for Rod’s brother, Cory. His birthday was truly a day to celebrate. It is hard to believe that we came so close to losing him. He really is doing great and he seems to get better and better each time I see him.
Finally, Connor turned 16! Wow, hard to believe. Unfortunately I didn’t plan anything exciting. With Lacrosse and dance, we had a hard time fitting it in. I promise to make it up to him next year. He did go on his first date shortly after he turned 16. I can say I wasn’t surprised that it didn’t take him very long.
I am so grateful for birthdays. They give us a time to reflect on the past year and the year ahead. Here’s to a great year for four very important guys in my life! Love you all!

Trip to Grandma and Grandpa’s House
In February, we went to visit my parents in Idaho. It ended up being a very cold weekend, but we managed to have a little fun. Of course we had to go shoot Grandma’s new gun.
Parker wouldn’t shoot it. He did pose for a picture though.
Halle hit her target. She did a good job for being so little.
I got all my shots on the target, no bulls-eye though.
This is the way you could find Braden most of the time!
Halle and Parker loved playing games with Grandma and riding bikes with Grandpa. I am not sure how I ended up with no pictures of Grandma and Grandpa, but they were there feeding us and taking good care of us as always. Thanks Mom and Dad, we love you tons!!

Sledding
I was looking through my pictures to see how far behind in my blog I have gotten. I saw these cute videos. The kids didn't know that I was filming them.
Halle's jumped knocked her hat right off!
Parker surprised me and wasn't apprehensive at all.

Halle’s Birthday - 2012
Another year! My little girl is growing up so fast. This year her birthday lasted all week. Sherri and the girls came over for cake on Sunday. Since Rod was out of town on her actual birthday, the boys and I picked her up early from dance and took her to dinner.
Halle begged for a party, and I said no a million times. Parties always end up being such a big production! I finally gave in, but she was allowed to only have a few friends. I did it mostly so she could create some relationships with the girls from her new school. I always feel bad leaving friends out, but it is so hard to know where to draw the line.
We ended up going to see another dance studio’s recital. It was well done and the girls seemed to have a good time.
What would a party be without goofy pictures!?!?!
After the performance we went to have a treat. Yummy Cupcakes!
The party was just the way I like them. Easy and cheap! Halle had a fun time. She is lucky to have such awesome friends!
