Halle Plays Soccer!!

So another soccer season has come and gone. Once again, Halle participated and had a great time! Although I am not sure how she feels about team sports (we aren't a very aggressive family), she gave it her best effort and had a lot of fun. What a cute girl!!

Another great team! All her teammates were girls from our neighborhood. Who could ask for a better team color!?! PinK!! Go RoCKSTaRS!!

Thanks Brandon for Coaching! Sydney and Halle are great friends, Good times!!

Brynnley and Halle. They wore the exact same earrings! CRaZy!

Bryn and Halle had a good time playing on the same team together!

What could be better than sharing the love of soccer with your little brother!?!?!

Braden Graduates from the 6th Grade!!!

So Braden has finally graduated from elementary school!! He is so happy to be moving on to Junior High!He had some awesome friends again this year. Junior was one of them!!His teachers and the principal were awesome!! We are so lucky to be in a great school. Congratulations Braden and all the 6th Grade Graduates. Good luck in Junior High! I hope all your dreams come true!!

Parker Graduates from Preschool(s) this Year!!

So Parker went to two preschools this year and both graduations were great! Good job to both teachers for all the work they put into the programs. Mrs. Allreds was first and very entertaining. There certainly was a lot of singing and he surprised me by really participating! Here are a couple of my favorite songs that they performed....

We loved Mrs. Allred's preschool. She is a wonderful teacher and Parker made some great friends!!

Elle and Kaden were awesome friends. Elle says that one day she and Parker are going to get married! I guess we will wait and see.....

We will miss Mrs. Allred's preschool. Halle went there for her 3 year old preschool and after Parker's year there I am certain that she has the best preschool around!!!

So this song is Humpty Dumpty with a little Hip Hop going on. I think it is so cute at the end, sorry about the nose issues. Poor kid, I think his allergies were really getting to him!!

In this video, Miss Misty asked what they wanted to be when they grew up. Parker says a "Super Hero!"

Parker loved Miss Misty's school because he was able to go with his good friend Payton!! They had such fun together.

Congratulations Parker on a great year of Preschool. Only one more year to go!! I hope all your dreams come true!!

First Grade Talent Show!!

After all the money I've put into dance, I was suprised when Halle didn't want to dance for the 1st grade talent show. She wanted to do anything but. She wanted to play the piano, but since she has had no formal lessons, I discouraged that one. We finally decided that she would do a great job telling a story. She has such animation in her voice. In the end, we felt that a poem would be better. She started so quickly that I didn't get the whole poem in the video, but she did a great job!! Sorry it's sideways...

If you can't understand her, the poem goes like this... "I made myself a snowball, as perfect as can be. I thought I'd keep it as a pet, and let it sleep with me. I made it some pajamas, and a pillow for it's head. And then last night it ran away, but first it wet the bed?!?!"

What a cute and brave girl!! We are so proud of you!!!

Dances for Wesley!

So after much pressure from his friends, Wesley finally asked his friend Mandy to Prom. I was shocked. He spent one Saturday aerating lawns and then that night, when he was sure he'd have some money, he went over and asked her. I was thrilled. I want him to have all the experiences that high school has to offer, but I don't want to force him, or pay for it all! I also feel it is important that he give the girls an opportunity to go also.
I did go out and buy him a suit. We decided not to waste money on a tux. I don't think he minded not having a tux and now he can wear a suit to church. I thought they looked great. They had a fun time at the dance and stayed most of the night. I think it will make him more excited for next years' school activities.

So the week before he went to Prom another girl asked him to MORP. This is what he found in his bedroom when he got home. I'm not sure why she chose to ask this way, but the plastic dummy was pretty impressive. He wanted to answer her by hanging the dummy on the porch and saying "I'm dying to go to MORP with you!" I wouldn't let him, I thought it sounded a little morbid! I wish I had pictures from that dance. I'll have to do a little scanning once I see them.

Connor's Haircut

So for reasons that we won't mention, I forced Connor to get his hair cut! Needless to say, he was less than thrilled, but he had no say in it!! My good friend, Brooke, was nice enough to squeeze him in. Although he wasn't happy about it, he handled himself very well.
He wouldn't let me take a good picture of him, but his hair looks pretty good. It is nice to see his face. He really is a good looking kid ( especially when his tongue is in his mouth)! I think it makes him look older. I hope he'll keep it up.

Halle's Dance Year 2009 -2010

It's been another great dance year. Halle has learned so much and had such a wonderful time.
Blake and Halle did a cute number to Shoo Fly Pie.

Miss Heidi choreographed the duo. It was great working with her. We thinks she's awesome!Halle's team did a fun dance to A Brand New You. Halle and I both loved this dance the most!

Her team was small this year, but it was a great opportunity for making new friends and learning so much!
At Christmas, she did a great tap number to Email Santa.

The production number was to a song called We Rock the Boat.
It always amazes me how her teachers are able to get that many little girls dancing together and looking so adorable!!She did a ballet number to the song from Sleeping Beauty called Once Upon a Dream. It's always hard to get a shot of the costumes she wears for the dances she only performs once. She was not happy to pose for this picture after a very long evening on recital night!!

Dance is great for so many reasons, but the trophies have to be one of the best parts. Throw in a tiara and sash and it becomes absolute Heaven on Earth!!
Another great part of dance is spending time with friends. (Even Mom gets to make lots of great friends too!) Another great part of dance is getting to show some of our family what she has learned! (Thanks for the support!)
One of the best parts of dance is, of course, the FLOWERS! What more could a girl ask for?!!? Here's to another great year of dance!! Hopefully, next will be even better!!
